Who is Cali?
Me! I’m Cali!
First things first, a couple fun factoids about me… Let’s see… I’m left-handed, a night owl, and a lot of people would describe me as ambitious. I LOVE cartoons; I could talk about them for hours. Taylor Swift is my IDOL. I love dogs, music, movies, and desserts (mmm…cookies). I really love reading, and wish I had the discipline to read more lol. Don’t even get me started on traveling; I have a whole list of cities and places I want to go visit (Planned out with spreadsheets, obviously 😛 ). And of course, I love organizing, planning, SAVING MONEY, and all things associated!
Secondly, I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design where I began studying as a Graphic Designer with a minor in Animation. I quickly fell in love with animation and decided to switch my major. I wasn’t much of a drawer, so I decided to do something I knew I was already good at: ORGANIZING! I used my skills for organization and planning to specialize in 3D Rigging & Production Management. After school, I went on to work for multiple different studios as production coordinator and various projects until I finally landed at Nickelodeon!
Lastly, I am definitely not perfect, lol. My mind is very frantic, and being able to jot things down on the go really helps me remember things and collect my thoughts. I tried to look for things already made that were usable for me, but let me tell you, being a night owl and someone who likes spending as little money as possible while still experiencing life and travel has had its challenges. And one of the many is that apparently planners just don’t exist for us on our time schedule. So for YEARS I was creating spreadsheets and organizing my life through these templates. Then one day, it occurred to me, what if I wasn’t the only one that could benefit from these? I’m sure I’m not the only night owl or penny pincher in the world trying to get their lives together, and to do it with colorful style! Thus, The Second Mouse Plans was born.
What is The Second Mouse Plans?
I created The Second Mouse Plans as a hub for all things planning and organization! As I said before, my mind is frantic! So these various things are all things that help keep my brain at ease and thought others may be able to benefit also. 😀 The Second Mouse Planners and sheets are designed for those of us who are just trying to make it through life and stay organized! If I can get you even just A TINY bit of comfort in your life, then I call that a success!
I would also like to mention, I do not have my life all together! I’m trying, just like the rest of us, lol. I really think that part of organization and planning is doing it the way YOU feel works. I fully believe in tailoring your planning experience to best suit you. So do not be afraid to use any of these templates and tailor them to how YOU see fit. And please please PLEASE don’t get discouraged if these tactics don’t work exactly for you. The journey to an organized life is to organize it however it helps you! Because it may not look like it, but each step toward progress is a success.
