Okay, so Hershey is only a short ride away from Philadelphia, making it the perfect destination for a day trip from Philly! This place is also just a fantastical destination for kids and adults! If you have the opportunity, I would HIGHLY recommend it. Fill your senses with chocolate and take a magical ride through Hershey with this Hershey Day Trip Itinerary. Now, Hershey can EASILY be turned into a multiday excursion if you plan on going to Hershey Park. However, I am terrified of roller coasters! So this is a coaster free experience!
If you’re taking a day trip from Philly, take the amtrak and enjoy a leisurely train ride through Pennsylvania! Then start your day with a stop by Hershey Chocolate World, take a trolley tour, make your own chocolate bar, go through the little factory ride, there’s so much to do here! Be sure to grab a milkshake! Grab lunch at the Chocolatier and try out the heath bar crusted Salmon. It was INCREDIBLE. I still dream about it sometimes! After your stomach is full, head to the Hershey Story Museum to learn even more about the history of the famous chocolate bars. Milton Hershey was extremely fascinating and super passionate about what he did. It’s definitely a story to remember!
In the evening, relax at the MeltSpa for a dark chocolate hand treatment. Get the most chocolatey manicure and have your hands smell like delicious chocolate! After a long day of activities, be sure to visit one of the best italian restaurants I’ve had in the U.S, Hershey Italian Lodge, grab some delicious pizza and pierogies!
